“No Rank”
By Peggy Louise Jones
“Follow the Fool” by Primus pops into my head.
“No Rank” means Equality, no hierarchy, no following.
From a military perspective rank was something always pushed and encouraged. With it came more responsibilities and leadership training needed. Rank was something to strive to obtain, yet regardless of others encouragement, I was not a fool. As I saw Yes, Rank had privileges, yet it also had it limits.
What was the point in obtaining rank if you couldn’t do more good and help more people? With “no rank” you could move freely and help anyone regardless of their rank because you were low man on the pole with “no rank”.
I say “no rank” is the way everything should be organized for if ALL beings in creation are equal then there is no need for rank.
In the animal kingdom you may see a rank type system or hierarchy, usually among those we consider predators. Does that make us predators? Craving control and a rise in our ranking no matter what that may be. If everyone knew how limiting it is to have rank would they “WAKE UP”?
See when you put a label on something which is to give it a rank you are labeling it thus ultimately limiting abilities and reality surrounding said system or object.
It’s nice living a life of “no rank”. I’ve tried repeatedly to live my life as an equal. Yet every location I worked at eventually started giving me responsibilities or what some would consider moving up the work ladder in rank. Regardless of how many times I hide and try to be equal and carry on someone notices me and starts
promoting my rank within said business. Hence why in the military I became a noncommissioned officer and civilian security repeatedly placed me as a supervisor.
It’s not fun being in a rank system for it creates separation and degradation as everyone works to prove they have what it takes to move up in rank. Thus, I’m done with ranking systems and being anywhere people put ranks on things.
The worst of rankings are material things. I mean seriously we only need water, food, and shelter as long as it keeps you healthy why bother ever putting a rank on anything? It’s all about control. Get rid of rank and you get rid of means to control. Everyone, everywhere like’s this or rank’s that thus chaos and separation of the masses ensues.
Have “no Rank” and find the middle way. A way where everything can be equal in importance and value. Do what you can to the best of your abilities and for the betterment of All in ALL Ways. If it is best for ALL allow no one of any rank stand in your way and don’t stop just as a river never stops flowing. Go with the Flow and it Will All begin to Glow!!!
